Her "SKY" is not HER limit........

Oh gees.. I have been dying  to blog about the announcement of the birth of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe's baby boy, but I wanted to wait till "Baby Week" on Brandylis and The Bear.

I have been watching "The Rachel Zoe Project" from the beginning when "Tay Tay"  Taylor Jacobson,

...... her  bossy, seemingly miserable and unhappy assistant was still on before additional assistant Brad Goreski...

Groovy chest hair Brad ..hehehehehe

...... was added to the RZ family and Taylor went "Ba-na-nas"... The guy just never did anything right in her eyes. Both Brad and Taylor have since left the Rachel Zoe team ( one on better terms with Rachel than the other), to pursue their independent careers.
 The last (hopefully not final) season Of The Rachel Zoe Project, Rodger (Rachel's ubber metrosexual husband)

 .......brought up the topic of wanting to start a family and was very passionate and forceful about it. The problem is Rachel's pouty yet tight lips....

....remained poutingly clenched whenever her husband brought up the topic, as she became petrified of the notion of bringing a baby into this world with a BOOMING career at her love for her fast paced job which she lived and breathed. How would she be able to give juggle it all?....but her biological clock was ticking.. Rodger wanted to be a dad...

....So the season ended and I had been eager to know what  her reluctance would do to the future of their marriage..Until... she announced she was PREGNANT last year...Rodger got his wish and thankfully Rachel was thrilled...

.... and it was going to be a BOY!!!!...

. I have a confession..."I was hoping it was a girl"... ok I feel better now......

 Pregnancy, like milk, does the body goood!!!

Now, the baby has arrived!!!

Skyler Morrison Berman was born a week and a half ago at a healthy 6 lbs 12 ounces at  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.  I wonder if Karl Largerfeld was in the delivery room?.. I can't wait to see what gabs this baby will be rocking. Congratulations to the couple and God bless their precious baby. According to Andy Cohen..

Sex, Slaves and a Sick S.O.B ?

Have you seen the American Apparel campaign ads? It is so provocative that I won't post the photos on my blog, but will direct you to them. Note that they are not suitable for children and may be offensive to some. 
The reason this has captured my attention is because a former employee of the company, Irene Morales......




...... just sued the Founder and CEO of American Apparel, Dov Charney.....



......for $250 million dollars for alleged sexual harassment. She claims that she was hired at 17 and he demanded her to visit his Manhatten apartment just after her 18th birthday. She arrived only to  find him in his underwear, where he forced her to perform oral sex and other sexual acts over a period of time and held her hostage in his apartment.. (Oh boy)...
You know the "You're innocent until proven guilty" saying but is it fair to judge him based on some of the photos that have been chosen for his campaign? Could it possible hurt his case?..

Publix is the New Chilis..

                  


For many years when my husband travelled for weeks at a time, leaving me alone with the kids, besides wishing that I had an extra pair of eyes to watch them while I take a half an hour nap, my biggest wish/desire was the ability to get groceries without leaving my car. There is nothing like running out of your most important staple during the day when you are with kids who can't tolerate the overstimulation of a supermarket. Just to gather them all into the vehicle while functioning on two hours sleep and several carpet steaming later was simply unbearable.
Alas, select Publix supermarkets offer "Curbside Pick Up"... Yippieeee!!!.. You simple go to http://www.publix.com/ and under "Services" you will find "Publix Curbside" and follow the instructions  In a nut shell, you click on the products that you need and add them to your shopping cart, you pull up to the participating Publix at the sceduled time, your payments will be collected  ( I think you shoud pay online) and your groceries will be brought directly to your vehicle. How cool is that?..Right now, the services are available in Atlanta, Georgia and Tampa, Florida. There is a standard fee of $7.99 per trip no matter how many or how few items purchased.. This is such a God send for many of us and I thank Publix for starting this here. Can't wait for it to be available near me.

For the past month Trevor has been making my daily Starbucks runs after dropping the kids off to school, so it was only yesterday when I went out to run a couple errands did I get my much needed caffeine fix..... and there they were....... Cake Pops!!!!

Another "Son" bites the dust...

I promised myself that I would NEVER comment on the sadness who is Charlie Sheen, as I see him not as the catastrophy who everyone else sees, but I see him as someone's son, someone's father, someone's brother. I have always thought of death as pain of the living which is why many think of suicide as something selfish, but I also see the similarity between death of a loved one and the mourners, AND drug addicts and their families who want so desperately for them to be clean and sober. The dead /addicts feel nothing while the mourners/ loved ones are the ones whose hearts bleed incessantly.

For many years my drug of choice was Rock and Roll and perhaps the adrenaline and eupohoria that I have always felt from that music was perhaps because the the band members were soooo high on their own drugs. They transported it through their music and it was infectuous. I can't describe that feeling. It gave me goose bumps and made me feel like "Flower Child" but without the drugs. I have never tried or taken drugs because I have control issues and I would be damned if this "thing" that I put in my body would control how I feel. I wanted my own mind to be my healer. Besides. I think I am naturally nutty. With that being said, many they need that substance to numb their pain.

 Yesterday, March 8th, Mike Starr the original bassist of Alice in Chains was found dead at a home in Salt Lake City. He has been battling drug addiction for several years. It is not yet certain whether he succumbed to his drug addiction, but he was recently one of the casts of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky" and battled many demons.

One of the best albums made by Alice in Chains was "Facelist". I knew and still know all the songs in the order they play on the album because I have listened to it so many times over the years. So while we indulge and capitalize on what seems like a "train wreck" (as it's called) that is occuring in sick people's lives, just think of their families and the pain and fear that the live every day.

Moments ago, the top head designer of Christian Dior since 1996 was fired due to an anti-semitic drunken tirade in a Paris cafe. According to The Daily Beast, such remarks were  “I love Hitler,” Galliano tells the women sitting next to him. "People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f-----g gassed."  Ohhhhh DAHM!!! Here is the statement released by the fashion house.

 "Today, because of the particularly odious nature of the behavior and words of John Galliano in a video made public this Monday, the Christian Dior house has decided to lay him off immediately and has begun firing procedures against him."
